Parole Board Hearing Funding

Department of Justice Victims Fund

Victims who wish to attend a Parole Board of Canada hearing may apply for financial assistance through the DOJ Victims Fund if they have:

  • registered with Correctional Service of Canada or Parole Board of Canada to obtain information under the Corrections and Conditional Release Act,
  • applied to PBC to attend a PBC hearing of the offender who harmed them, and
  • been approved by the PBC to attend the hearing.

Travel, hotel and meal expenses may be provided to a maximum of 3 days, 2 nights stay unless travelling from a rural or remote area or significant distance.
